This session is focused on the active control problem of vibration damping

including all associated topics as:

  • optimal and robust control
  • low-authorithy vs. high-authorithy control methods
  • collocated and non-collocated control
  • uncertainty models for structural models
  • modal modelling and spill-over
  • optimal sensor and actuator placement

Papers can cover both theoretical and experimental results, numerical issues

and implications of modelling techniques. Since the control problem is the

main focus, a wide variety of applications can be covered.
